Episode 4, Segments 3 & 4 are live!
The new segments are up! Meet Michelle Bencko of Cicadia Studios and Cloud Nine Fabrics and designer for Henry Glass, and Gail Kessler marketing director and designer for Andover Fabrics and owner of Ladyfingers Studios in Oley, Pennsylvania. Both come to their roles as quilt designers from very different routes. They talk about such issues as: Why do fabrics start looking the same? Who determines trends, both in fabric pattern and in color? What about knock-offs? Then learn how Rosie, Gail’s Golden Retriever, became the first canine fabric designer. Discussions continue about the business of fabric and fabric design with Gail Kessler and Michelle Bencko. Topics discussed are how to get started in fabric design, what design rules the guests break, and the trend to new fibers and how this relates to quilting fabrics. Gail mentions the Nancy Murta Country Blessings pattern. Be sure to read Michelle’s blog.

I find your Quilt Out Loud segments extremely difficult to locate on your website. It requires numerous clicking through different things just to find it. Make it easier!!!
Also, naming your “shows” by segment and episode is confusing. Who can remember which number you’ve already viewed. Give them a name and date!

I agree also. I saw this web site advertised in an quilting magazine and had hoped that I could get some more info - it looks like a great site. But I found the site frustrating to navigate - and I’m busy making quilts already - I don’t have that kind of time! Please make this site more user friendly!

Hi Guys - I am sorry it’s difficult to find. Please go to QNNtv.com and follow these steps, we are trying to make it easier within the web site constraints.
- click on Browse our Programs (at top middle)
- click on “Quilt Out Loud”
- Scroll to Series 1-1 and all videos are there. Let me know if you are still having problems.

I find also that I’ve already seen some of the episodes by the time I get the email that they are now “live”!!! What’s with that? Now, I can’t find the newest ones that I got the email for today…however, when clicking on it I’ve already seen the ones that show available.

Karen,
Thanks for asking—the episodes are released first as segments (week 1: Segments 1&2, week 2: Segments 3&4, and week 3: Segments 5&6) and then on week 4 as the full episode (without breaks between segments).
The most recent email was to announce that the full episode was online (as a continuous video, no breaks). While there’s no new content in the full-length episode (it has been released in the previous segmented versions), we provide it to meet the preferences of those who wish to watch all the content at once.

Can’t find you! I agree with making this site more user friendly. I have trouble every time I log on. I get frustrated and walk away without seeing/hearing anything. The ONE episode I did manage to get, I enjoyed.

I have never been able to watch the current episode of QOL. It always leads me to login, at that point I never get back to new episodes. Site not user friendly, I question the value of my membership.

I’ve been to numerous areas on the site but have been unable to watch Episode 4 segment 3 & 4 yet. It is very frustrating. I really enjoy the shows, Mark is such an asset. I hope that he is not going away as I’ve heard what a shame that would be! Please make viewing easier.
